Stories Behind the Light

Jared's Light Foundation did not begin with a brand, a campaign, or a public launch. It began in a family story — in faith, service, grief, obedience, sacrifice, and the conviction that Christ's light still shines in the darkest places. Some of the articles, interviews, and conversations connected to the Lynchard family were created before the foundation formally began, and not all of them are directly about the foundation itself. But each one carries part of the road that led here.

The transplant story is one of those pieces. Anjanette's living liver donation to Mary Ann Carroll — the mother of Jared's childhood best friend — became a visible testimony of life through sacrifice, healing through surrender, and God's ability to bring new life from circumstances no one would have chosen. In that story, the family saw again that Jared's death would not have the final word. God was already turning tragedy toward triumph, using pain for purpose, and pointing every act of service back to the hope found in Christ.

These stories are offered here not as publicity, but as testimony. They help explain the soil from which Jared's Light Foundation grew and the heart behind its mission: to carry the light of Christ into places of suffering, need, and darkness — so that others may see good works and give glory to the Father in heaven.
